Public Holiday Pile-up

The new academic year has began very successfully to us here at Juja St. Peter’s School. We have received all the students, including the newly admitted students, and have settled to begin the first term of the academic year 2022.

With the sad demise of the former president, H.E. Mwai Kibaki (RIP), the Kenyan president H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta announced that Friday 29th April 2022 will be a public holiday in respect to the late president as the state mourns his death. Labour day, which is an annual public holiday on every 1st of May, will be on Sunday 1st May 2022, which pushes the public holiday to Monday 2nd May 2022. Lastly, Tuesday 3rd May 2022 has also been declared a public holiday by the Cabinet Secretary of Interior, Hon. Fred Matiangi, to celebrate the end of Muslim fasting month or Eid Al Fitr.

We would like to inform you that the school will remain closed for these days as the we honour the holidays. The day scholars will remain home for these days and school will resume normal learning on Wednesday 4th May 2022. Children on school transport will be dropped at the normal time on Thursday 28th April 2022 and will be picked at the normal time in the morning of Wednesday 4th. Those who are not on school transport will also be dropped at the normal time. The boarders, however, will remain in school and will be taken care of till the end of the holidays.

Thank you for your continued support and we hope to have a successful and fruitful first term 2022.

God bless you and God bless JSPS.
