Job Purpose
The role of a teacher is to impart knowledge.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
The teacher is responsible for;
- Planning and preparing lessons,
- Preparing scheme of works,
- Maintain the set academic standards
- Ensure the syllabus is covered within stipulated time frame,
- Teach subject(s) of expertise/assigned
- Prepare learners for internal, external and national exams,
- Serve as a good role model to learners
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Job Requirements
This is an entry level position.
- He/she must possess the relevant minimum qualification i.e., KCSE Grade C, Bachelor of Arts with post graduate diploma in Education or BED with French and any other Diploma from a reputable Teachers Training College with French option.
- He/she must be registered by TSC
- He/she must have a positive attitude towards teaching.
- He/she must have experience teaching in Secondary school for at least 3 years.
- Have knowledge of CBC.

- Class discipline
- Demonstrated knowledge of subject content
- Well maintained records of subject taught
- Punctuality in attending to duties e.g. teaching, setting of exams, marking and recording of exams
